  22. Nexus 6P is perfect for playing games, watching movies and getting work done in stunning clarity -- and front-facing stereo speaker for crisp, clear sound. With the octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood, performance on the Nexus 6P is faster than ever, yet gentler on battery life. The 3450mAh battery keeps you talking, texting and apping into the night. Paired with a reversible USB Type-C port for fast charging, there's no more guessing which way is up, and you’ve got a daily driver that actually lasts all day.*
  23. *All battery life claims are approximate and based on an average mixed use profile that includes both usage and standby time. Actual battery performance will vary and depends on many factors including signal strength, network configuration, age of battery, operating temperature, features selected, device settings, and voice, data, and other application usage patterns.
  24. #############Slide 9
  25. The Nexus Camera is the best all-around camera we've ever put into a Nexus. But where it really shines is in conditions with less-than-ideal lighting. The new sensor captures more light, and the larger 1.55μm pixels absorb more in even the dimmest conditions to make your photos sharp. With a faster Google Camera app, you never miss a moment, and with the smart Google Photos app, your memories are easy to relive.
  26. Great camera is the most desired feature for our users, and a key area for Android and Nexus
  27. Taking great photos in good light is relatively easy and something most smartphone camera do really well. Where it gets hard is low light. 80% of photos are taken in less than ideal light so it is important to really concentrate on that
  28. We see the most challenging common photography use case is trying to take a quick snap of a kid and we have made a bunch of decisions to excel in such challenging scenarios.
  29. Why is such situation challenging: app has to launch fast and be fast, AF needs to focus quickly and accurately, need to be very sensitive to light to catch a moving subject, and mostly such cases you have to capture as much detail as possible in most times challenging light conditions.
  30. #############Slide 10
  31. The fingerprint sensor is about personal privacy and being able to access your phone as fast as you can grab it.
  32. Fingerprint verifications makes unlocking and authenticating simpler, faster and reliable. Highly accurate, and very low detection latency.
  33. Let users quickly and securely unlock their devices and authenticate credentials within Apps.
  34. The location of the sensor has been thoughtfully considered for ergonomics and ease of use.

  40. These are hypothetical scenarios where it would make sense to suggest the Nexus 6P to a customer. As always, engage the customer in conversation. What are the top things they are looking for in a phone? Especially for Nexus 6P: any customer who is an early adopter or really deep into tech; gamers; those looking to watch a lot of content on their phones; multitaskers who love to run a bunch of apps or work from their phone on the go.
  41. For example, your response to a customer asking about alternatives to the new iPhone 6+ would sound like this:
  42. “Why choose the Nexus 6P over the iPhone 6+? If you’re into taking photos, the Nexus Camera will capture more light than the iPhone 6+ camera. That means your pictures will turn out brighter. And if you already use Google apps, like Gmail, Maps, Chrome, Photos, Drive, and so on -- Nexus was designed to showcase the best of Google, so all the app features will work directly and seamlessly with the Nexus 6P. Plus, when it comes to price point, the Nexus 6P will generally be less expensive than the iPhone 6+.

  47. The smartest shortcut from here to there
  48. Surprise! Your friend asked you to help plan a last-minute party and to bring the balloons. A quick tap-and-hold of the home button loads a message screen with apps for making restaurant reservations, getting driving directions, and will even set a balloon pick-up reminder.
  49. e.g., Say you get a couple of text messages inviting you to a restaurant and asking you to pick up the dry cleaning. Just tap and hold on the home button, and Now on Tap will assist you by providing information about the restaurant and suggesting links to relevant apps, and not to mention, asking you if you'd like a reminder to pick up your clothes [UI here (https://www.google.com/url?q=https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Z17UU8lrre_hfnQOdst1Aw7pDxAz2FudgpBuguyZpZ8/edit%23slide%3Did.gb37b1bfe8_0_372&sa=D&ust=1443331427614000&usg=AFQjCNFHG6s3m63KiNzaTuCABVihQUxQRQ)]
  50. Precise answers without needing precise questions
  51. With Now on Tap, ‘Ok Google’ voice assistance gets you the right answers faster. Even if you mispronounce words or leave out some details, you get the answer you need because Now on Tap understands your context.
  52. e.g., Say you’re reading about the new Star Wars movie and you say “OK Google, what’s his real name?” Now on Tap knows that you’re referring to Luke Skywalker. [UI here (https://www.google.com/url?q=https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Z17UU8lrre_hfnQOdst1Aw7pDxAz2FudgpBuguyZpZ8/edit%23slide%3Did.gb37b1bfe8_0_410&sa=D&ust=1443331427619000&usg=AFQjCNHkWfXM8RGMYnelwrX03p5Jg3QniQ)]
  53. e.g., Go ahead, mispronounce the name! Because Now on Tap understands the context of what website you’re on or app you’re in, it can infer that you meant the hard to pronounce thai dish [UI here (https://www.google.com/url?q=https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Z17UU8lrre_hfnQOdst1Aw7pDxAz2FudgpBuguyZpZ8/edit%23slide%3Did.gb37b1bfe8_0_395&sa=D&ust=1443331427621000&usg=AFQjCNFH6XJKWdlxjTIGqd76eZxRaxOXBA)]

  55. Security tightened to one fingerprint
  56. Skip the crazy passwords: The key is at hand. Your fingerprint unlocks your phone and lets you securely breeze through sign in and checkout on Android Pay, the Play Store and even in apps.
  57. Use fingerprint sensors to unlock your device, make purchases in Google Play, authenticate transactions in apps, and pay in stores
  58. #############Slide 19
  59. Powered by efficiency
  60. A battery that works smarter, not harder
  61. Android Marshmallow’s battery-smart features help your device retain its charge longer. For instance, when your device is at rest, Doze automatically puts it into a sleep state. So your phone can still set off your alarm in the morning even if you forgot to charge it. Phew! And your seldom used apps will go into App Standby in order to conserve battery for the apps you use regularly.
  62. Doze: Android Marshmallow recognizes when your device is resting and automatically goes into a deep sleep state to conserve power while still allowing all your alarms, notifications and calls to ring through. We’re seeing up to 2x improvements in standby battery life on Nexus 9*.
  63. App Standby ensures apps that haven’t been used recently have a reduced battery impact while they’re in the background. And if an app hasn’t been used for several days, its power consumption is reduced to zero. Of course, apps will come out of Standby immediately if you interact with them.
  64. *All battery life claims are approximate and based on an average mixed use profile that includes both usage and standby time. Actual battery performance will vary and depends on many factors including signal strength, network configuration, age of battery, operating temperature, features selected, device settings, and voice, data, and other application usage patterns.
  65. Doze detects when your device has been idle for a long time (couple hours) and then starts to exponentially back off the power usage. It's sort of like a sleep state except (1) it's automatic and (2) your calls, notifications etc all ring through. Main use case is if you forget to plug in your phone when you go to bed, it's not out of juice when you wake up in the morning and your alarm clock will still ring through on your phone
  66. #############Slide 20
  67. Greater control for more peace of mind
  68. Clearer choices over the data you care about
  69. No need to give apps an all-access all the time. Marshmallow lets you define what you want to share and when. Turn permissions off at any time, too.
  70. Apps designed for Android Marshmallow only ask for permission the first time you try to use a feature rather than asking for permissions out of context. You can deny any permission and still continue to use the app. Advanced controls to turn permissions on or off for all your installed apps.
